आंध्रप्रदेशातील आदिवासी कुटुंबातील १३ वर्षिय पूर्णा ठरली एव्हरेस्ट शिखर सर करणारी सर्वात तरूण मुलगी. विशेष म्हणजे आपला आदर्श असलेल्या डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांचं छायाचित्रही तिने एव्हरेस्टवर सोबत नेलं होतं.
काही लोक बोभाटाच जास्त करतात आणि आदर्शांना कमीपणा आणतात. तर पूर्णा सारखी लहानगी आपल्या पराक्रमाने आदर्शांना मानवंदना देते. हे इथे आपण लक्षात घेतलं पाहिजे.
मालवथा पूर्णा आणि साधनापल्ली आनंद कुमारया दोन मुलींनी आज एवरेस्ट हे जगातील सर्वोच्चशिखर गाठले. यातील एक आदिवासी तर दुसरी दलित. पूर्णा १३ वर्षाची व आनंद कुमार१६. एकीचे वडील शेतीकाम करतात तर दुसरीचे सायकल दुसृस्तीचे. दोन्ही आंध्र प्रदेशातील आहेत.
दोघींचे लक्ष्य आयपीएस अधिकारी बनणे आहे. निश्चितच ते आपले लक्ष्य प्राप्त करतील कारणत्यांचे आदर्श आहेत कर्तृत्वाचे हिमालय डॉ.बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर ! बाबासाहेबांची प्रतिमा घेऊन शिखराच्या टोकावर पोहचल्या.
अनेक सुखवस्तू दलित ब्राह्मणांना जयभीम म्हणायची लाज वाटते, भीमराजच्या बेटींनी जगातल्या सर्वोच्च शिखरावरून उच्चरवाने जयभीम ठोकला. त्यांच्या साहसाला सलाम आणि कोट्यवधी जीवांना प्रेरणा व शक्ती देणाऱ्या डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांना शतकोटी अभिवादन !
